A Community Hub for Cyber Security Educators
Delivering cyber security education is a significant challenge. Cyber security is a complex domain that is in a state of continual change and increasing complexity.
As the popularity of studying the subject increases, so does the diversity in academic background of those who want to study it.
Additionally, those with the responsibility of being cyber security educators, face the challenge of:
continually acquiring a broad range of appropriate knowledge and skills
maintaining educational programmes that are directly relevant to industry
creating innovative ways of communicating complex concepts to a diverse audiences.
Through dialogue, collaborative projects, shared experiences, shared resources, peer advice and peer validation, CISSE UK is the pivotal community to help cyber educators overcome such challenges.
Cyber Security Education for all Education Key Stages
The UK education system offers a natural point of engagement for students to begin the practice of acquiring “cyber intelligence”. This includes primary, junior, secondary, sixth form and university key stage students. Becoming “cyber intelligent” is an extensive and continual process that should start as early as possible.
A principle activity of CISSE UK, is to advocate a “pipeline” of outreach, communication and collaboration between cyber educators from all education key stages.
To establish a culture of outstanding, innovative and state-of-the-art cyber security education in the UK.
We believe that the foundation for this vision can be achieved through unprecedented collaboration between cyber security educators.
Establishing CISSE UK, represents an early stage of this long term vision. The first few steps have been taken, we hope you will join us in taking many more!
